Following on from the successful National Risk 08, we are delighted to announce that National Risk 09 will take place at London’s City Hall, June 10, 2009. This event will draw upon the original discussions of the December 08 debut, and build a more in-depth picture of the risks facing agencies, organisations, businesses and communities.

How prepared is your organisation?
As announced in its National Security Strategy, the British Government published the National Risk Register in August, 2008. This sets out its assessment of the likelihood and potential impact of a range of different risks that might directly affect the UK. The incidents covered in the document include: Pandemics; Major accidents; Terrorism; Natural disasters; Electronic attacks; Flooding; and Extreme weather, with a number of variations.

The National Risk series of conferences seek to actively encourage debate between communities and business to increase resilience and safety, facilitating effective business continuity to manage these incidents. It will achieve this by identifying and communicating the partnerships and activities organisations must develop to implement their corporate responsibilities to their workforce and investors.
